WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Article 23 of the Canadian charter of Rights and Freedom gives citizens of British-Columbia the right to educate their children in a French program:
If their first language learned and still understood is French or if they have or they received their primary education in French in Canada (excluding French immersion)
If they have a child who was educated at primary or secondary education in French in Canada (excluding French immersion) or
If they have a child who has already begun his education in French in Canada.
Landed immigrants who meet one or more of the conditions mentioned above are also eligible.
